Overview of the Position (multiple available)

The Home and Community Leader is responsible for overseeing all aspects of customer service delivery within their designated portfolio and service area. This includes leadership of Supported Independent Living (SIL) residences and Community Participation programs. In this role, you will ensure that services provided by WA Blue Sky are tailored to meet customers' needs.

This is a pivotal leadership position that directly influences the quality of services and community inclusion of customers we support.

The Role:

We are currently seeking two full-time permanent Home and Community Leaders across multiple service delivery locations within the Perth metropolitan area. Based in Bentley, these positions will report directly to the Managers of Home and Community.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring customers' support complies with NDIS requirements and legislation
  • Building strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customers receive appropriate and effective support
  • Demonstrating and promoting WA Blue Sky's values and behaviours through your leadership style and daily interactions
  • Leading and mentoring a team of support workers across the region. Key will be fostering a culture of employee wellbeing, learning, quality, compliance, and safe working practices.
  • Staying informed of sector developments and responding to customer needs with ethical, evidence-based, and values-driven approaches
  • Supporting and implementing organisational change initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with and contributing to the continuous improvement of WA Blue Sky's policies, practices, and strategic objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Minimum three years' experience in the Community Services sector, ideally in a comparable position
  • Experience working across complex human services programs with front-line supervision exposure
  • Demonstrated ability in working with diverse stakeholders, including customers, families, employees, advocates, guardians, health professionals, and the wider community
  • Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to triage and respond to incidents, complaints, and feedback
  • Passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and contributing to a positive organisational culture
  • While we are seeking experienced leaders within the Aged and Disability sector, we are also open to candidates from other human services sectors
  • You could be currently working as a Social Worker, Senior Support Worker, Support Coordinator, or recent graduate wanting a career in supporting people with disability…if so, we would love to hear from you.
  • Proven experience in leading teams across multiple service offerings is desirable, as is relevant qualifications in human services, education, clinical, or management disciplines.

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check at commencement
  • Unrestricted Right to Work in Australia
  • Valid Driver's Licence
  • Influenza Vaccination at time of commencement
