Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a small, high-impact team of 3 - coaching, mentoring, and building capability for today and tomorrow
  • Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and retention of drivers and depot staff
  • Advise management on employee relations and performance management
  • Ensuring compliance with Fair Work, WHS, transport industry obligations and HR best practices
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate learning initiative
  • Maintain HR records and prepare reports for senior leadership
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations and ensure Fair Work compliance
About You
  • Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Previous experience in the Transport & Logistics Industry would be advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated experience with balancing strategic influence and hands-on delivery.
  • High level of discretion, integrity, and resilience. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, capable of building productive relationships at all levels
  • Strong employee relations expertise, including leading complex matters and investigations with the ability to coach
