Our client is seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join their busy freight forwarding team. In this role, you'll manage the end-to-end customs clearance process for a wide variety of import and export shipments, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency every step of the way.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Lodge import and export declarations in compliance with customs and quarantine regulations
  • Classify goods and calculate duties, tariffs, and GST
  • Liaise with clients, government bodies, airlines, shipping lines, and freight forwarders
  • Advise clients on customs, quarantine, and trade compliance matters
  • Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure timely cargo clearance
  • Manage documentation for duty refunds, permits, and special clearances

Role Requirements :

Current Australian Licensed Customs Broker & Biosecurity AccreditedKnowledge in entry preparation, classifying and compilingExperience using CargoWiseHigh degree of numeracy, literacy and analytical skillsCommercial focus and excellent customer service skillsAdaptable, ethical and hands-on approachAbility to effectively interact and network with internal / external stakeholders to facilitate professional movement of all shipmentsFirst-class communication skills - written and verbalAbility to prioritise and time-manageAttention to detail
