About the opportunity

The SMSF Association is the national peak body for the self-managed super sector. We're seeking a PR Specialist to lead our media relations, drive high-impact campaigns, and grow the visibility of our work nationally.

This is a mid-level role, perfect for someone with 2–5 years' experience in PR or communications who is ready to step into a role with real influence.

This is an Adelaide-based role. Applicants must be able to work regularly from our CBD office.

What you'll do
  • Manage media enquiries and build strong journalist relationships.
  • Draft and distribute media releases and commentary.
  • Monitor media coverage and share insights across the organisation.
  • Deliver PR campaigns that support our key events, projects, and partnerships.
  • Help shape the Association's voice as the trusted leader in the SMSF sector.
What you'll bring
  • 2–5 years' experience in PR, media, or communications.
  • Strong copywriting and media release skills.
  • Demonstrated success building media relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced environment.
