About the role:

The Early Intervention & Family Support (EIFS) programs work alongside parents and family carers who have children in their care to improve safety and connectedness with local community services.

The EIFS Case Manager will provide initial screening and assessment, develop family case plans, identify barriers, and provide practical in-home support for carers. They will oversee case management activities, provide parenting and trauma information for carers, and offer specific supports for children to strengthen links to community and culture.

We have two Full-Time Fixed Term positions, 38 hours per week, until 30/06/2026, with a possible extension. These roles are based in Karratha, WA, within our Early Intervention and Family Support (EIFS) Program. The positions report to the Coordinator of Pilbara Services.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful, you will have:

  • An appropriate qualification in human services or equivalent experience and skills.
  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience in Case Management.
  • Knowledge of traumatised and vulnerable children, young people, and families.
  • An understanding of attachment, trauma theories, child development, child-centred approaches, and resilience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and liaising with community services, other agencies, and the community.
  • An understanding of the child protection and out-of-home care service system.
