Armidale Perioperative Services / Day Surgery Unit – a state-of-the-art facility opened in 2018, designed with modern equipment, spacious facilities, and an environment that supports both staff and patients. About The RoleAs part of our team, you'll support patients during admission and discharge for surgical procedures, focusing on people rather than processes. The unit emphasises teamwork, collaboration, and high-quality care within a dynamic perioperative environment. Shifts are 8 hours across the week and weekends, with hours spanning 7:00 am–6:30 pm.
About YouYou're a proactive, compassionate nurse who thrives in a team-based, fast-paced environment. You bring strong time-management, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset, with initiative, punctuality, and respect in daily practice. You're eager to learn and grow, with knowledge of (or willingness to develop skills in) ACCORN, AS5369, GENCA and infection-control principles. Flexibility to work 8-hour shifts across weekdays and weekends is essential.
Responsibilities- Provide patient support during admission and discharge for surgical procedures within the perioperative unit.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality perioperative care.
- Demonstrate initiative, time management, and effective communication in a fast-paced environment.
- Enrolled Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
- Medication Endorsed where applicable.
- Proximity to shopping and other services
- 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)
