Job Title: Food Prep Assistant (Casual, with Full-Time Potential)

Location: Rosso Espresso

Job Type: Casual (Up to 38 hours/week, with potential for full-time)

Start Date: Flexible

Role Overview

We are looking for an energetic, reliable, and hands-on Food Prep Assistant to join our team. The role involves preparing and assembling a variety of fresh foods including sandwiches, paninis, croissants, bagels, sweets, juices, and smoothies. You'll play a key part in keeping our kitchen running smoothly and ensuring our customers enjoy delicious, high-quality food every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and assemble made-to-order items including sandwiches and paninis, baked croissants and sweets, and fresh juices and smoothies
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety
  • Assist with stock rotation and daily kitchen prep
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines
  • Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure smooth service
  • Keep prep areas clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a café, deli, or food prep environment is a bonus, but not essential
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and food presentation
  • Flexible availability Monday-Friday
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Multitasking a must
