Join our People & Culture team at Curtin University as a Digital Communications & Systems Coordinator.

About the role

The Digital Communications & Systems Coordinator manages and maintains Curtin's digital systems and applications to support staff engagement, productivity, and experience. The role involves technical administration, first-line support, and planning and delivering communication activities. Acting as a key contact, the coordinator ensures smooth system operations, provides timely helpdesk support, and creates engaging, accurate communications across Curtin's People & Culture digital channels.

An important aspect of this role is ensuring staff communications are consistent, clear, and aligned with Curtin's values. Strong collaboration and excellent communication skills are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage Curtin's Staff Portal, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and engaging.
  • Draft and deliver communications that reflect Curtin's values and brand voice, reaching diverse audiences across the University.
  • Utilize digital tools and analytics to track effectiveness and improve strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and project teams to deliver consistent messaging.
  • Provide technical administration and first-line support for People & Culture applications and systems.
  • Support staff engagement initiatives through Curtin's digital platforms.

Selection Criteria :

We seek a motivated, solutions-focused communicator with a mix of technical skills and creative flair.

To succeed in this role, you will have :

  • A degree qualification in a relevant field OR equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in administering and maintaining systems and applications.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
  • Experience with tools such as WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and customer service skills.

Bonus points for familiarity with Campaign Monitor, Site Improve, Canva, or experience in higher education or large organizations.

Role Requirements :

  • Current Permanent Australian working rights. Please note, visa sponsorship and relocation are not supported for this role.
  • Willingness to undertake a National Police Clearance, background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin's satisfaction.
