Lead the delivery of a contemporary data and analytics portfolio on a modern tech stack. As Senior Project Manager, you'll bring structure, cadence and clarity to multi-stream work—turning well-designed solutions into shipped outcomes that matter.

Role

You will own end-to-end project management for a multi-million-dollar portfolio spanning data engineering, BI/visualisation and platform enablement. You'll plan and track the work, run governance, manage commercials, and keep executives and teams aligned to milestones and benefits.

What you'll do
  • Plan and lead projects across scope, schedule and budget (cross-functional team).
  • Maintain an integrated project schedule (Jira/Azure DevOps/MS Project) with clear dependencies and milestones.
  • Run PM governance with stage-gates, RAID management, change control and crisp decision logs.
  • Manage financials, including forecasting, variance/EVM tracking, accruals and commercial change approvals.
  • Engage stakeholders include executive sponsors, vendors, product owners, and technical leads (data, apps, security, and operations).
  • Report progress with concise weekly updates on status, risks/mitigations, benefits and next steps.
  • Enable the teams with sequencing work, removing blockers, managing capacity and onboarding, and upholding delivery standards.
  • Use modern tooling with Jira or Azure DevOps/MS Project for planning; Confluence for artefacts; Office/Power BI for exec-ready reporting.
What you'll bring
  • 7–10+ years as a Project Manager delivering complex technology initiatives (data/analytics or platform uplift ideal).
  • Proven control of multi-stream portfolios in hybrid/agile, multi-party environments.
  • Executive stakeholder management—able to influence priorities and negotiate trade-offs with confidence.
  • Strong commercial acumen: forecasting, burn, accruals and disciplined change control.
  • Fluency with Jira/Azure DevOps, MS Project, Confluence and standard project reporting practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; calm, decisive and collaborative.
  • A coaching mindset that lifts project delivery craft across teams and partners.
Nice to have
  • Sector experience in healthcare, utilities, education or government.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric and BI (Power BI/Tableau), plus cloud fundamentals.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum/PM) or SAFe.
  • Consulting/vendor background coordinating multi-supplier delivery.
