SGS is seeking a metallurgical technician to join the team in Welshpool.

Responsibilities include, however, are not limited to:

  • Undertaking sample preparation tasks as directed in JR – these will include, drying, weighing, rotary and / or riffle splitting, crushing using a range of crushing equipment items.
  • Assist senior technicians to complete projects which require a higher level of skills and experience to those of the technician in this role.
  • Ensure project deliverables are achieved and quality outputs are reached.
  • Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interests of the Company.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • 1 – 2 years experience in the minerals processing / production / laboratory testing industries.
  • Knowledge and experience with various commodities and unit operations.
  • Experience with some metallurgical laboratory operations and /or testing operations.
  • First aid training.
