Located in Pymble, Sydney, Northside Montessori School is a well-established and highly regarded Montessori school which caters for students in early childhood, primary and secondary. Northside Montessori has long been committed to offering a robust and authentic Montessori education.
In this recently created role, our vibrant school community is looking for a positive and proactive addition to our team who is able to juggle multiple priorities with a can-do attitude.
The Marketing and Administration Assistant will provide support to the leadership team as well as work closely with parents and staff to promote the opportunities and values that Montessori education provides. You will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of activities including preparation of marketing collateral, publication and marketing design, photography, social media content, and assisting with the management of school events and community activities. A knowledge of Montessori education is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and publication of the school Newsletter and other formal forms of communication within the school and with the wider community, including website updates.
- Manage the school eCalendar of school activities and events, ensuring it is updated and accurate.
- Assist with events, including planning, promotion, ticketing, catering, setup, and cleanup, which may require out-of-hours work.
- Responsible for administrative processes vital to the school's operational cycles.
- Provide administrative support to the senior leadership team.
- Prepare and design school publications and marketing materials, including flyers, banners, and other initiatives.
- Assist with social media campaign creation and implementation.
- Collaborate with management to identify and execute marketing activities through online and offline channels such as social media, events, and local area marketing.
- Maintain relationships and collaborate with staff, families, and the community.
This is a part-time permanent position (3–4 days). A current Working With Children check is required.
About you:
- Marketing, communication, and design qualifications or equivalent experience.
- Creative thinker.
- Strong initiative with the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize demands.
- High attention to detail and commitment to daily operations.
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
- High standards of accuracy in repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency with desktop publishing applications (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets.
- Friendly, approachable, flexible, and proactive attitude.
