About the role
This is a full-time opportunity as a Commercial Tradesman, Senior Project Manager and Estimator with MakStyle Plumbing and Gas Pty Ltd in the Brisbane Metro. You will be responsible for managing the execution of complex commercial/industrial construction projects and providing expert cost estimation services. These are strategic roles that has a significant impact on the success of the company's operations.
What you'll be doing
Oversee the planning, organisation, and delivery of commercial/industrial construction projects from start to finish
Manage project teams, schedules, budgets, and quality control to ensure successful project completion
Provide in-depth cost estimation services for new projects, including material and labour requirements
Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues and ensure client satisfaction
Monitor project progress and identify opportunities for improvement
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and company policies
Mentor and provide guidance to apprentices and other staff members within the team.
What we're looking for
Minimum 3 years of experience as a commercial/industrial tradesman, project manager or estimator in the construction industry
Demonstrated expertise in managing complex commercial construction projects from start to finish
Excellent cost estimation skills, including the ability to accurately forecast material and labour requirements
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients, contractors, and team members
Proficient in the use of project management software and tools
Thorough understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
