Position Summary
A Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME) is responsible for performing a broad range of aircraft maintenance and certifying within their licensing. LAMEs are required to ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft complies with company policies, procedures, and regulations set by the relevant country's regulatory authority.

A LAME can certify work undertaken by designated individuals. They may also coordinate projects and guide teams to successful operational outcomes.

Salary from AUD$94,500-$138,600 + Super + OT. The package may vary based on skills, experience, and license ratings.

Main Responsibilities
Compliance and Regulatory
— Promote Jet Aviation Values and Compliance Policies to support our culture.
— Ensure general housekeeping standards.
— Create and update work orders promptly.
— Sign off and certify work completed each day in accordance with CASA regulations.
— Manage tooling requests during projects.
— Maintain hangar and project housekeeping.
— Oversee the signing off of work by licensed engineers.
— Report WHS issues via JetSafe.
— Complete all paperwork and issue RTS.
Maintenance
— Supervise and certify maintenance performed by others.
— Mentor maintenance staff.
— Monitor compliance with regulations.
— Allocate manpower efficiently.
— Ensure proper time registration and notify HOC of discrepancies.
— Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Supervisor.
— Support and mentor team members.
— Perform other duties as needed.
Aircraft Coordination Support
— Manage production planning and document control.
— Coordinate with tech records.
— Lead daily toolbox meetings.
— Track project milestones and notify HOC of risks.
— Support zonal coordinators and complex parts interpretation.
— Implement handover processes.
— Assist with manpower allocation and efficiency.
— Support staff and project teams.
— Communicate professionally internally and externally.
Minimum Requirements
— Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification.
— Experience in aircraft system maintenance and modifications.
— Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements.
— People management skills.
— Experience in customer-focused environments.
— Basic computer skills in ERP systems.
— Good English communication skills.
— Customer orientation and courtesy.
— Flexibility to work various schedules and conditions.
