Clough has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer with a solid background in Civil Engineering Design and Management (earthworks, storm water drainage, roads and geotechnical investigation) to join our In-house Engineering Team in Perth or Brisbane In this role, you will effectively be responsible for technical civil design deliverables working closely with stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective and fit-for-purpose engineering and design output complying with company requirements.

Your focus will include:
  1. Delivery of technically acceptable civil engineering design services to ensure the development of high levels of client satisfaction and Clough's business needs.
  2. Work with technical specialists to ensure specification compliance and technical integrity of design.
  3. Prepare and review civil engineering deliverables (calculations, drawings, specifications, MTO and scope of works) including documents and data from external consultants, suppliers and other disciplines.
  4. Collaboration with the in-house structural, bidding, procurement and construction teams.
  5. Contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of systems within the civil/structural discipline.
  6. Manage customer relations to achieve mutually satisfactory and technical program outcomes.
  7. Liaise regularly with manager to report progress, areas of concern/issues and potential changes.
What you will bring to the team:
  1. Minimum 12 years relevant, post graduate civil engineering design experience.
  2. Extensive experience in Technical Design within engineering contracting or consultancy organisations in one or more of the following sectors – Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals and Infrastructure / Utilities.
  3. Capability in civil engineering design software such as 12D or Civil 3D is highly desirable.
  4. Good knowledge of local and international Codes and Standards.
  5. Tertiary qualifications in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  6. Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) is preferred.
  7. RPEQ (mandatory for applicants who would like to be based in Brisbane).
  8. Membership of relevant Engineering Institutions (e.g. Engineers Australia) – preferred.
  9. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
