About the Team

The Field Operations Team manages all customer-facing installations of solar systems, batteries, and electricity meters across all segments, supporting our behind-the-meter strategy. We ensure safe, high-quality, and compliant delivery while managing subcontractors within the broader Specialist Business team. This is where you come in

About the Role

The purpose of the Field Services Supervisor (Electrician) – NSW is to oversee solar, battery, and meter installations, as well as maintenance and repairs across NSW. The role is vital in ensuring all work is delivered safely, compliantly, and to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supervising and supporting subcontractor partners, providing technical guidance to ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of electrical, solar, battery, and metering work.
  2. Overseeing installation, repair, and maintenance tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards.
  3. Reviewing planned installation dates and locations independently and scheduling site visits for the upcoming fortnight.
  4. Conducting regular quality audits on installations and repairs by subcontractors.
  5. Performing routine safety inspections on solar, meter, battery, and EV installations, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  6. Collaborating with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders for seamless operations.
  7. Fostering a safety-first culture among all personnel, including subcontractors.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have experience in a similar field supervisor position. You must hold a valid electrical supervisor licence issued by the New South Wales Government. Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • SAA Certification is highly desirable, indicating knowledge of SAA (Standards Australia) certification for electrical equipment used in solar installations.
  • Proven ability to oversee and manage subcontractor partners successfully.
  • Effective time management skills, including independently reviewing installation schedules and aligning hours to meet business goals.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements and HSE regulations.
  • Experience in effective communication and collaboration with internal teams, contractors, field technicians, and external stakeholders.
