• KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  
  

The Head of First Mile Product is responsible for the Landside Transportation P&L in Oceania Area (Australia and New Zealand). This role will lead the delivery of the area product strategy to drive growth and profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction in the area.

1/ Area Product Strategy & Product Development

• Define and deliver the product strategy and business roadmap for Landside Transportation in Oceania with alignment to the global product strategic directive and customer needs in the Australia and New Zealand markets
• Set clear direction and expectation with business stakeholders across the organisation to deliver the product strategy and business roadmap
  
  

2/ Business Growth & Investment Opportunities

• Identify and lead critical organic growth initiatives in the market through leveraging Maersk's end-to-end customer integrator value proposition
• Lead key inorganic / investment opportunities to expedite the growth of the landside transport product in Oceania
• Collaborate with finance, commercial & procurement teams to build investment cases and business plans to enable product growth in the market
  
  

3/ P&L Ownership & Product Performance Management

• Full accountability for the product P&L, including pricing strategy, cost management, and margin optimisation
• Regularly report on KPIs, forecasts, and key financial metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Monitor product performance and implement initiatives to improve profitability and cost-to-serve.
• Work closely with commercial, operations, customer service and procurement teams to ensure aligned execution and service delivery.
  
  

4/ Market Intelligence & Subject Matter Expertise

• Stay abreast of regulatory changes, sustainability updates, competitor/market developments and customer demand trends in the Oceania transportation sector
• Be the key subject matter expert on landside transportation trends and innovation in the ANZ region.
• Represent the product externally, ensuring strong communication across customer segments, partners, and regulators.
• WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
• 10 years of experience with strong expertise across strategy and operations to drive long-term growth plans in the ANZ Transport sector
• Previous work experience and deep knowledge across Transport, Wharf Cartage, Depot, and Port stevedore sectors in the ANZ market
• Previous experience leading large-scale investment opportunities and expediting business growth initiatives in the transport sector
• Proven track record of strategic leadership, delivering key growth initiatives, and managing complex P&Ls
• Ability to translate customer needs and business opportunities into solutions
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication skills and leadership qualities
