As an Analyst in the Investment Banking coverage team, you will be a key contributor, and on occasion leader, of work streams in the group's transaction execution, marketing and client coverage initiatives, as well as playing a part in driving the culture, capabilities and overall strategy of the business.

Job responsibilities

  1. Participate in the "full cycle" of transactional execution including preparing marketing pitches, reviewing and formulating financial analysis, preparing and presenting internal and client presentations.
  2. Play a leadership role in implementing the execution function including working with, and supporting, analysts as well as assisting more senior bankers.
  3. Strengthen your analytical, modelling, writing and presentation skills and demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer capable of generating and executing your own transactions.
  4. Be knowledgeable about the global and Australian sectors and their participants, collaborating closely with colleagues across JP Morgan's global platform and Australian product groups.
  5. Be highly enthusiastic about J.P. Morgan's mission, driven and committed to its success.
  6. Work with the broader team of over 100 Analysts and Associates across the APAC region; involvement in real-time transactions may include travel.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  1. Prior work experience in investment banking or finance-related sectors with awareness of the products and services provided.
  2. A well-rounded academic background from a top-tier educational institution.
  3. Strong financial modelling skills.
  4. A general understanding of the M&A and capital markets transaction cycle and processes involved.
  5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with senior professionals, clients, and key stakeholders across product groups.
  6. Proactive, highly motivated, and committed, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
