Controls Assurance Senior Advisor

What You'll Do- Plan and execute control reviews aligned to the financial year assurance plan, including walkthroughs, testing, and reporting.
- Identify and assess control issues, using sound judgement and a risk-focused mindset to calibrate and communicate findings.
- Write high-quality reports and present outcomes to stakeholders across the business and senior leadership.
- Mentor and support Analysts and Advisors, reviewing their work and building capability within the team.
- Contribute to broader risk initiatives including control attestations, board reporting, and process improvements.
- 3+ years of experience in controls, audit, or risk—ideally within financial services, Big 4, or a similarly regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of internal controls frameworks and risk assurance methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to present contentious findings and defend your position.
- A sharp eye for detail, with the discipline to follow structured review processes from end to end.
- A proactive, autonomous working style—comfortable taking ownership and driving work through to completion.
