A Dymocks' Education company, Dymocks Training, is entering the Vocational Education and Training (VET) market. We are committed to great student outcomes and making education accessible for busy adults. This casual contractor position allows you to select courses from our scheduled workshops, which are initially ad hoc but will become more regular as we grow. We seek trainers willing to be part of this journey.

About You:

You are an enthusiastic trainer and assessor eager to benefit students and develop your role within a supportive organization.

Your duties will include:

  • Conducting onsite and offsite training and assessment
  • Participating in feedback collection and continuous improvement
  • Assisting in developing learning materials and exploring new delivery methods
  • Managing administration and record keeping in line with legal and best practice standards

Experience in training and assessment support is desirable but not essential. Clear and enthusiastic communication skills are most important.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Recent industry experience in Business responding to first aid incidents
  • Current training and assessment skills
  • Knowledge of HLTAID009, HLTAID011, HLTAID012 units
  • Sound report-writing skills
  • Customer focus, quality education commitment, teamwork, understanding of VET frameworks, proficiency with LMS and office software, attention to detail, and a friendly personality
  • Current Working with Children Check or equivalent

Qualifications:

  • Industry-approved Business Leadership qualification (AQF Level 4 or equivalent)
  • First Aid units of competency as listed
  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or higher in adult education
  • Current professional development log and planned activities for the next 12 months
  • Ability to map experience and units to a Trainer Matrix
  • Demonstrated vocational currency in First Aid and frontline training in the VET sector

Hours and Remuneration:

Casual role with pay rates of $500 per session for HLTAID011/012, $200 per session for HLTAID009. Expect 8-hour days, with potential additional pay if supplying own first aid equipment. You must be listed on our ASQA application as a trainer.

Locations:

We operate across Sydney, including Penrith, Liverpool, Campbelltown, Parramatta, and Burwood. Multiple locations can be specified in your application.

Dymocks Training is a division of Dymocks Education, expanding from primary and high school tutoring to adult education in Sydney.
