Overview

CSSD Technician role at Ramsay Health Care. The Opportunity: We are seeking CSSD Technician to join our Sterilisation Team at North Shore Private Hospital. In this role you will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of reusable medical devices and medical equipment for varying clinical departments. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process which will see you working within your team to meet the needs of the peri-op team. Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will work within an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Working within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment in a timely manner
  • Work within various allocated areas in the department
  • Ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the Operating Theatre areas and CSSD while maintaining high operational standards and exceptional customer service
Skills And Experience
  • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or currently enrolled and working towards completion
  • Previous CSSD experience is desirable, however training and support will be provided for those completing their qualification
  • Positive outlook to collaborate effectively with the team and independently as required
  • Customer service oriented in internal and external settings
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023 (desirable)
Remuneration

Base hourly rate starting at $ superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases as appropriate
