Project Overview

Pluto Train 2 is the expansion of a second LNG train at the existing Pluto LNG onshore facility near Karratha in Western Australia run by Woodside Energy.

Woodside Energy is Australia's leading natural gas producer, and Bechtel is excited to be working wiht this key customer to help meet the increasing global demand for LNG as a transitional energy source.

Job Summary

Bechtel is now accepting applications from Engineering, or Construction Management graduates to join our Graduate cohort based at our Pluto Train 2 project in Karratha. The Bechtel Graduate Project Controls position offers you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, and develop the skills to become a leader in the Infrastructure industry. As a Graduate Project Controls Engineer at Bechtel, you will assist in supporting cost estimating, analysis, and control activities and schedule development, maintenance, reporting, and monitoring activities, as directed.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Applicants must have (or be about to complete) a Bachelor's degree at an accredited university
• Be an Australian citizen or have the right to permanently work and remain in Australia without sponsorship, and,
• Be able to pass any pre-employment requirements such as a drug screen and background check.

Additional Information

This position has responsibilities that include exposure to changing environmental, construction, and operational conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather. Some lifting may be required. Candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i.e. respirator, harness, life vest, hearing protection, etc.).

The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products – i.e. cigarettes, vapes, lighters, tobacco - are permitted to be brought to the site.

This position is available to both local and non-local personnel. For non-locals (FIFO/DIDO), the working roster is 3/1
