The Learning and Development Manager has a critical role to play in enabling excellence in HR practice across Australia.
The Role
Reporting to the GM, HR Standards and Capability, the Learning & Development Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the design, development, and enhancement of AHRI's learning products. This includes short courses, micro-credentials, RTO courses, mentoring programs, and HR certification.
With three direct reports, you'll foster a culture of collaboration and innovation while working closely with external subject matter experts (SMEs) and contractors to deliver high-quality learning experiences that align with industry trends and AHRI member needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of AHRI's learning products, including short courses, micro-credentials, and HR certification.
- Ensure alignment of learning products with AHRI's Capability Framework, HR trends, and member needs.
- Manage a team of Product Development Specialists and a Graphic Designer, providing leadership and mentorship.
- Oversee multiple product development projects, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including SMEs and contractors, to develop high-quality content.
- Work with marketing teams to create product toolkits for promotion and sales.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of learning products, driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards in product development.
What you'll bring:
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, HR or a related field is desirable.
- TAE Qualifications and AHRI certification desirable.
- Proven experience in instructional design and assessment development, ideally within HR or education.
- A proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and emerging industry trends.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, ensuring seamless execution.
- Experience working with SMEs and contractors, with the ability to guide and influence senior professionals.
