THE OPPORTUNITY

As a HV Cable Jointer you will be integral in supporting our customers in relation to HV Cable terminations. You will be required to attend to and rectify faults in a timely manner, which will ensure minimal loss of supply and disruption to the customer.

YOU'LL NEED THESE TO SUCCEED

  • A committed attitude to safety; safety is at the heart of our business and an essential core value
  • Experience with HV / MV distribution cables
  • The ability to carry out electrical testing such as Insulation Resistance, VLF testing etc on Cables
  • The ability to self-manage projects
  • Ability to work alone in working an industrial/mining services workshop
  • Exposure to HV electrical equipment and systems for mining and utilities
  • Ability to work underground if required
  • Ability to travel away for work all over NSW as part of a maintenance team

EDUCATION

  • Electrical trade qualifications with a Qualified Supervisors License
  • Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution Cable Jointing (preferred)
  • Understanding of electrical schematic and wiring diagrams
