Be the Safe Connection – Youth Worker

  • Build trust, model positive choices, and encourage independence among children and young people.
  • Offer flexible shifts, including casual and part-time roles.
  • Participate in training, development, and growth opportunities.
  • Support children and young people to build positive and trusting connections with family, friends, and the community.
  • Assist children and young people in making healthy lifestyle choices, accessing healthcare services, and developing social and interpersonal skills.
  • Provide outreach support to children and young people who are disengaged from placements.
  • Manage day-to-day care of children in residential care as required.
  • Teach life skills in a planned and supportive manner.
  • Organize and participate in recreational activities with and for children.
