Title: Spa Supervisor

Position Overview:

To anticipate and meet the needs and desires of the hotel's guests, maintain the established standard of service, and adhere to the policies and procedures of the hotel. Responsible for supervising, training, and coordinating Ubika Spa staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of Spa Therapists & Spa Receptionist
  • Maintain rosters and timesheets
  • Perform all Spa Reception duties including reservations, cashiering, answering telephone, and other general inquiries
  • Provide Spa Consultation forms and recommend treatments to guests
  • Be familiar with all spa services, costs, procedures, and products to upsell and rebook guests
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including cashiering
  • Be a trusted contact for guests, assisting with bill issues and local knowledge, and involve management when necessary
  • Follow safety procedures, report incidents and maintenance issues
  • Maintain personal grooming and professional appearance
  • Monitor guests in the Spa and anticipate their needs
  • Respond to emails professionally within 24 hours
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Keep the Spa clean and tidy, including treatment rooms, change rooms, wet areas, reception, and back of house
  • Answer Spa phone courteously within 3 rings
  • Assist with stocktaking
  • Maintain cleanliness in change rooms, relaxation areas, Spa Oasis, and Reception
  • Complete EOD reports to Finance
  • Attend daily briefings and meetings
  • Assist colleagues or other departments as needed

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Administration and cashiering skills
  • Previous experience as a spa therapist in a resort/hotel is desirable
  • Excellent time management and ability to personalize treatments
  • Attention to detail, grooming, and presentation
  • Flexibility to assist in other resort areas
  • Understanding of spa culture and health and well-being industry
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems
  • Experience in recommending and upselling treatments and products
  • Positive, proactive attitude
  • Outstanding customer service skills and friendly personality
