Overview

Principal Engineer Electricity Utilisation at Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS).

Location: Cannington, Western Australia (Hybrid). Remuneration package of up to $264,302 per annum. Base pay range: A$165,719.00/yr – A$179,499.00/yr. This permanent position offers a competitive package and career opportunities with LGIRS.

Responsibilities
  • Liaise with a wide range of client groups including licensing authorities, licensees, employers, employees, utilities and power suppliers, government agencies, unions and industry organisations.
  • Lead the development of regulatory policy work related to electrical utilisation safety legislation.
  • Lead or assist investigations into electrical safety incidents.
  • Assist with compliance audits of electricity networks.
Qualifications & Licences
  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
  • Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers' licence or equivalent.
