The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the 2026 edition of the AFC Women's Asian Cup. This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in 2006, and follows the success of co-hosting the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup.

You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), established to deliver the 2026 AFC Women's Asian Cup in Australia.

This event will feature 12 nations in three groups of four. We aim to celebrate women's football and multicultural Australia, and to deliver legacy outcomes for football and society.

Note: This is a fixed-term role from November 2025 to March 2026, with potential for contractor/sole trader arrangement.

  • Plan and deliver accreditation services and operations in Australia for the tournament.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accreditation and access programs.
  • Manage the client accreditation registration process.
  • Coordinate with safety and security teams to protect data and ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee accreditation centre operations and access control.
  • Develop accreditation manuals, procedures, and operations under guidance.
  • Manage logistics, FFE, and technology for accreditation centres.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders.
  • Train staff, security personnel, and volunteers.
  • Manage AD card delivery and quality assurance.
  • Finalize and display access control requirements and zoning maps.
  • Support in producing and distributing AD cards.
  • Lead accreditation team operations and client processes.

What Gets You in the Game?

  • Experience in accreditation, venue management, or event operations.
  • Knowledge of access management and venue operations.
  • Ability to develop procedures and work in dynamic environments.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, MS Teams, SharePoint, and other IT tools.
  • Flexibility to handle changing priorities and work hours.
  • Discretion and confidentiality.

  • Legal right to work in Australia (no sponsorship available).
  • Working with Children Check or equivalent.
  • International Criminal History Record for countries of residence in the past 10 years (if applicable).
  • Availability for out-of-hours and weekend work.
