About The Position
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to deliver evidence-based insights that inform Australia's strategic engagement and influence across Southeast Asia.
You will be responsible for researching, building, and maintaining data products that highlight trends in key sectors and indicators of Australia's regional footprint. The position demands a strong blend of technical expertise, analytical problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable intelligence for decision-makers.
This is an opportunity to deliver innovative, high-impact data solutions that directly influence Australia's strategic interests in the region.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of data products and dashboards using Power BI, Excel, Python/R, and SQL.
- Manage the complete data analytics lifecycle: sourcing, ETL, wrangling, cleaning, mining, and advanced visualisation.
- Deliver clear, policy-relevant insights to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring data is accessible and compelling.
- Apply creative and innovative approaches to address complex data collection and analysis challenges.
- Ensure the accuracy, currency, and secure management of datasets across multiple platforms.
- Communicate findings through engaging reports, visualisations, and presentations to influence policy and strategy.
- Provide timely data-driven advice to senior leadership and policy teams, supporting strategic decision-making in Australia's Southeast Asia engagement.

What We Are Looking For:

- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical insights to non-technical audiences.
