This is an exciting opportunity to support Public Works on financial matters. As a Senior Management Accountant, you will provide high-level advice and support business managers in making informed decisions across their expenditure budgets, including assisting in the development and monitoring of the annual budget and forward estimate processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage revenue and expenditure budgets, forecasts, and associated reporting cycles, ensuring compliance with corporate governance and overseeing other financial management activities.
  2. Develop timely and accurate monthly management reports and financial information to monitor financial performance for key stakeholders.
  3. Contribute to financial reporting components, including Service Delivery Statements, Financial Statements, and Estimates Committee briefs.
  4. Assist in planning and developing the commercial accommodation budget, including forecasting depreciation and financial modelling analysis.
  5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and collaboration to address financial issues effectively.
  6. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, and procedures related to budgeting, financial management, leasing, and corporate operations.
  7. Implement system improvements to enhance financial and budget management, utilizing SAP, Business Warehouse, and iSpace systems.
