About The Role

As the Pharmacist, you will be responsible for dispensing services, inventory management, and promoting the safe and effective use of medications to patients. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to provide technical advice and training to healthcare practitioners, enhancing your professional development.

About You

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and focus on efficient dispensary operations and inventory control. Prioritize patient safety by adhering to safety and quality practices. Communicate clearly with patients, providing advice and guidance, and support healthcare colleagues with your technical expertise.

To Be Considered For This Role, You Will Need

• A strong foundation of personal integrity and ethical practice.
• Current, unrestricted registration as a Pharmacist with AHPRA.
• At least two years of full-time post-internship experience within the last five years, ideally in Defence, Hospital, or Community Pharmacy settings (part-time considered).
• Active engagement in CPD activities aligned with AHPRA requirements.
• Current CPR certification (HLTAID009).
• Membership with professional organizations such as the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or the Society of Hospital Pharmacists is highly regarded.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Defence Security Clearance.

About the Location

Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze, 15km east of Darwin, serving approximately 2,800 defence staff and reserves, providing primary medical, pharmaceutical, dental, physiotherapy, and mental health services, with a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Larrakeyah Health Centre, at Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City, supports ADF operations and training, with a dependency of 1,100 personnel, surging every 3 months for pre and post deployment medicals, offering similar comprehensive healthcare services. Standard hours are generally 07:30 – 15:30, Monday to Friday.
