Responsibilities
  • Deliver assessment, triage, interventions and care planning
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, carers and agencies
  • Support recovery through advocacy and service coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement and service development
  • Engage in professional supervision and ongoing education
What You'll Be Doing

Western Sydney Local Health District Mental Health Services seeks 2 dedicated Registered Nurses to provide person-centred, recovery-focused care for people with severe and persistent mental illness.

  • Deliver assessment, triage, interventions and care planning
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, carers and agencies
  • Support recovery through advocacy and service coordination
  • Participate in quality improvement and service development
  • Engage in professional supervision and ongoing education
Essential Requirements
  • Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications as a Registered Nurse
  • Registration: Demonstrated full registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
Selection Criteria
  • Demonstrated skills in mental health assessments and interventions with people who have severe and persistent mental illness
  • Ability to work within a team and understanding of service delivery within this model of practice
  • Ability to collaborate meaningfully with consumers and carers with a commitment to recovery principles
  • Working knowledge of NSW Mental Health Act, 2007
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)
  • Computer literacy including database systems
  • Current Drivers Licence valid within Australia
