The role

We are currently seeking a talented and industry-recognised Principal Pavement Engineer to work in our Transport Group, delivering major transport infrastructure projects across Australia and New Zealand. This senior role will also focus on mentoring and managing our team of developing engineers in our national pavements group.

As this is a national role, we are open to the position being based in Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane.

With a minimum of 15 years of industry experience in planning, concept, and detailed pavement engineering design, you will play a key role in delivering major road and highway projects.

Having a proven track record in a similar role, gained in an engineering design consultancy, and a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change, attract clients, and influence new work opportunities is essential.

Suitable Applicants Will Have / Be

• Degree qualified – Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering or similar)
• Minimum 15 years' technical experience and knowledge of Australian pavement design standards and practices
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with public and private sector clients
• Sound project management and hands-on experience, encompassing administrative, commercial, and technical aspects
• Experience in the coordination, design, and delivery of pavement projects within multi-disciplinary engineering projects
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prepare and review technical reports
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
