About the role
As our Senior Engineering Manager - Civil & Pavement, reporting directly into the Head of Asset Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future by leading Transurban's national civil engineering team. You will lead a team of engineering professionals, including senior and principal engineers, and work closely with senior leadership to develop and implement asset performance solutions based on strong technical foundations with a strategic asset management lens. Your leadership experience and ability to cultivate a positive and productive culture will be key to your success in this role.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Provide technical and strategic guidance to direct reports and key stakeholders across the business to manage and optimise asset performance.
  • Lead and manage the end-to-end engineering process for operational civil, pavement and structural infrastructure.
    • Develop and execute innovative engineering strategies to enhance infrastructure and improve customer outcomes.
      • Foster a culture of inclusion, diversity and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
        • Utilise data-driven insights to continuously improve engineering processes and outcomes.
          • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
          This role will suit someone with deep technical knowledge and a

solve it together approach. Transferrable skills and experiences, include:

• Proven leadership experience with a focus on change management, cultural uplift and inclusion.
  • Strong technical understanding and strategic capability in civil engineering, pavements and structural engineering and asset management.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
        • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
          • Qualification in Civil Engineering or related field plus demonstrated commitment to ongoing development of technical expertise.
