Overview

Pharmacy Technician - Slade Pharmacy, Port Macquarie Base Hospital, part of Icon Group. This is a permanent part-time role located at Slade Pharmacy Port Macquarie, inside Port Macquarie Base Hospital.

What You'll Do

Hospital pharmacy is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where precision and collaboration are key. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work alongside Pharmacists, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help maintain smooth pharmacy operations that support multidisciplinary care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and supply medication for hospital patients and outpatients.
  • Deliver medication and collect rounds to hospital wards.
  • Assist with managing ward imprest and stock management activities.
  • Support patients, hospital staff and associated employees.
  • Pharmacy claims and general administration duties.
Shift Information
  • Fixed Saturday shift from 08:00 to 12:00.
  • Fortnightly hours negotiable, ranging from 8 to 34 hours per fortnight.
What You'll Bring
  • Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy. Hospital experience is not essential but advantageous.
  • Full training provided, including imprest management for hospital pharmacy operations.
Eligibility Requirements
  • Permanent Australian working rights.
  • Minimum 1 year of dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy.
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Certificate III or IV in Community or Hospital Pharmacy (or equivalent).
