Overview

MuleSoft Business Analyst role at XPT Software Australia. Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia. Salary: A$115,000–A$130,000 per year.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for APIs and integrations using MuleSoft.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to define integration strategies and interface designs.
  • Map existing business processes and identify opportunities for automation or integration.
  • Prepare user stories, functional specifications, and API documentation.
  • Support end-to-end delivery including testing, defect management, and user acceptance.
  • Conduct stakeholder workshops and present solution walkthroughs.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and governance standards.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in API/middleware integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API Manager, and RAML/OpenAPI specifications.
  • Solid grasp of integration patterns, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and message queues.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Visio.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of SDLC, testing lifecycle, and release management.
