Urban Drilling is a specialised Geotechnical & Environmental drilling contractor based in Geelong. We are a small family-owned drilling company with 40 years of experience in providing drilling solutions to various clients throughout Victoria and Australia.

Urban Drilling is currently seeking a Casual Geotechnical / Environmental Drilling Assistant to support our drillers in the field.

Ideally, you will have:

  • MR truck license (Manual) or greater.
  • Experience in Construction or related industries.
  • Construction Induction card (essential).
  • Mechanical knowledge (highly advantageous).
  • Willingness to work away from home occasionally.
  • Ability to work in the elements.
  • Flexibility with available work hours.
  • Rail card, RIW (preferred but not essential).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Availability for early starts.
  • Self-starter, hard-working, and reliable.
  • Resourceful.

About the role:

As a casual offsider, your daily tasks will include:

  • Cleaning of company equipment.
  • Assisting in the setup and removal of drilling equipment.
  • Maintaining adequate water supply to the drill rigs.
  • Loading/unloading drill rods, acquiring soil or rock samples for clients.
