About the Role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant with up to 5 years' experience to join our Finance team. Working in an existing finance team of 4, this role has ownership of the general ledger and will take the lead in AP oversight. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the following:

  • EOM preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Deliver EOM reporting to the internal leadership team and head office (France)
  • Treasury management
  • Ongoing accounting support to AP/AR and Payroll; maintain general ledger transactions
  • Support with business reporting internally and externally (weekly, monthly and ad hoc)
  • Audit support including liaising with external auditors and preparation of annual financial statements; support for external tax specialists in EOFY tax computations
  • Preparation of BAS on a monthly basis and rectification of any issues with support from Finance colleagues
  • Back-up to the Payroll Officer and bi-monthly payroll processing
  • Ad-hoc support to other Finance initiatives and activities
  • Hands-on approach with the AP team including transaction processing and troubleshooting
About You
  • Degree qualified Accountant with proven experience in a similar Financial Accounting role; or an excellent first move for someone from practice moving to a commercial role
  • Team player with a view to becoming a team leader in the future
  • CA or CPA qualification or working towards it is highly regarded
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to organize and manipulate system-generated data
  • Good communication skills to deliver complex information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
  • Willing to provide redundancy for other team members
  • Process improvement mindset and ability to be solution-oriented and agile in processes
  • Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
