Private Practice, Billing & Audit Officer – Metro South Health

Responsibilities- Process billing schedules, inpatient accounts, and related documentation in accordance with legislative and departmental requirements.
- Liaise with Health Funds, Medicare, and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and follow up on outstanding accounts.
- Maintain and update billing records and patient information with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support, data extraction, and reporting to ensure compliance and efficiency across billing systems.
- Detail-oriented and motivated individual who thrives in a high-volume, customer-focused environment with strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced setting.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships and deliver high-quality service to patients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong planning and time management skills to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability and willingness to develop knowledge in billing systems, medical terminology, and legislative requirements.
