The Role

We are seeking a skilled and collaborative Data Engineer / Analyst to join our client's Modern Data Community initiative. This mid-level role is perfect for:

  • A Software Engineer looking to move further into the Data space, or
  • A Data Engineer eager to upskill in newer technologies.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, leveraging modern AWS analytics tooling to develop curated, reusable data assets that deliver real business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering & Pipelines – Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines using AWS Glue and related tools.
  • Data Analysis & Insights – Perform SQL-based analysis to extract insights and contribute to AWS QuickSight dashboards.
  • Data Product Development – Design and improve high-quality, reusable data products.
  • Domain-Driven Data Ownership – Work closely with business stakeholders to align data products with key objectives.
  • Modern Data Platform Participation – Leverage a self-serve data platform and support governance standards.

What You'll Bring

  • Strong experience in data engineering (AWS Glue, Lake Formation, or similar)
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
  • Experience with BI tools such as AWS QuickSight (or similar)
  • Understanding of modern data platform principles
  • Bonus: Familiarity with SageMaker Studio (awareness level)
  • A collaborative mindset and ability to work across technical and business domains
