Job Description Reporting to the General Manager Data Analytics, you will support the design and build of data products which collect, manage, and convert raw business data into information to inform insights that support decision making and drive actionable outcomes within the Group.
This will be across both The Good Guys and JB Hi-Fi brands.
Key Responsibilities: Work with internal and external stakeholders to understand and deliver on their data related requirements and initiatives.
Contribute to the Design and Implementation of internal process improvements and efficiencies.
Create and maintain data pipeline architecture for in-scope data sources bridging to both the Data Lake and Enterprise Data Warehouse Data Mart.
Acquiring, ingesting, transforming and deployment of data models and datasets that meet functional and analytical business requirements.
Ensure data pipeline availability and scalability through monitoring and issue resolution.
Participate in the design and implementation of Data-Ops enabling technologies and design methodologies including version control, CI/CD – Continuous Integration and Deployment pipelines and automation of test plans.
Contribute to application of Governance Principles inclusive of Data Security and Privacy classification and enforcement, application of Data Quality Rules, Metadata Management, Data Classification and Technical Data Element Definitions.
Design, Develop and manage data architectures that support AI workflows and ML Models.
Work with the Data Engineering Team to augment AI driven capabilities such as code, test, and documentation generation within the data engineering role.
Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g.
business, information systems or technology, computer science) and a minimum of 3 years of commercial experience.
Certifications in both Azure Cloud and Data Fundamentals.
Storage, modelling and archival of the three (3) type of data: Structure, Semi-Structured and Unstructured Data.
Design and Maintenance of Data Warehousing and Data Lake Concepts.
Demonstrated commercial knowledge and experience in using both DBT and Snowflake.
Demonstrated commercial knowledge and experience in using data replication and change data capture tools such as Fivetran, Golden Gate, and data automation and orchestration platforms such as Automic, Stonebranch, or similar.
Intermediate to strong expertise in scripting with SQL and Python.
Design and Development of ELT (Extract, Load and Transform) mappings.
Enablement and configuration of Log Mining and Change Data Capture technologies.
Design and Development of APIs for both the acquisition of data and facilitation of an End Point to defined data schemas.
