Heavy Automotive Lecturer – Appointment Pool - Thornlie TAFE

South Metropolitan TAFE is establishing an appointment pool for Heavy Automotive Lecturers. Vacancies may arise over the next 12 months, with opportunities offered on full-time, part-time, casual, permanent or fixed-term contracts.

About the Role

Lecturers are responsible for teaching, facilitating learning, assessing, and mentoring students in line with curriculum and training package requirements. The role also involves professional activities and ongoing industry engagement to ensure training remains current and relevant.

Requirements

  • Trade qualification in mobile plant or heavy commercial mechanical (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years' vocational or lecturing experience
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40122/40116/40110) or equivalent
  • Don't have it? South Metropolitan TAFE will support you to complete the qualification, with reduced teaching load, provided you commence training and complete it within 2 years.
