Role summary

A Project Engineer at Built is responsible for coordinating the technical and administrative aspects of construction project delivery. Working under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Project Engineer aligns engineering deliverables with design intent, program timelines, and project objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily engineering functions on site, support technical coordination, and contribute to planning and procurement.
  • Oversee project documentation, assist with subcontractor engagement, and drive construction quality through inspections and reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers, other consultants, and subcontractors to resolve design issues, manage technical queries, and ensure construction activities are delivered as specified.
  • Mentor junior team members.
Qualifications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction engineering on high-value projects.
  • Solid understanding of construction drawings, sequencing, buildability, and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple work fronts and interface with consultants, site teams, and suppliers.
  • Understanding of procurement processes, cost control, and contract administration.
