This is a PO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the PO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the PO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. About The Role

The Social Worker will play a vital role in supporting student wellbeing across both the primary and secondary campuses, as part of the Department of Education's multidisciplinary Wellbeing Workforce. This part-time role, working 54 hours per fortnight, starts on 8 September 2025 and reports to the High School Principal of Wellbeing and the Primary School Deputy Principal. The role involves delivering mental health and wellbeing assessments and interventions to students and their families, contributing to a supportive and inclusive school environment.

Your Responsibilities

As the Social Worker, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

  • Undertake individual and group counselling with students, parents and families to assist them in resolving personal or relationship concerns.
  • Provide professional social welfare assessments, interventions and follow-up support to students, parents / carers and individuals as required.
  • Identify needs and participate in the referral and planning of services for children, parents and families to community agencies such as health and welfare.
