Overview

Our client is a mid sized hedge fund trading systematic and quantitative strategies. They are currently hiring a Trader for the high frequency trading team to trade market making and arbitrage strategies across equities, derivatives and global futures. This is a strong opportunity to leverage strong trading systems and alternative data platforms which utilises machine learning and innovative alpha strategies.


Ideal candidate will have experience working in a high frequency trading or low latency market making team in a Trader position. Understanding of strategies and programming experience is preferred. Responsibilities
  • Trade market making and arbitrage strategies across equities, derivatives and global futures on a high frequency/low latency basis.
  • Utilize trading systems and alternative data platforms, applying machine learning and alpha strategies.
  • Monitor execution quality and risk controls; communicate with research and operations teams.
  • Support the development and refinement of trading strategies with a focus on speed and reliability.


Qualifications
  • Experience in a high frequency trading or low latency market making team in a Trader role.
  • Understanding of trading strategies and programming experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; good communication skills.
