Quantitative Trader Role

The Portfolio Management Team in Sydney is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with a quantitative background to join our team as a Junior Quantitative Trader.

This is a permanent, full-time position where you will work closely with our experienced team and report directly to the Deputy Chief Investment Officer. The ideal candidate is looking to make a long-term commitment to their next position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and report on portfolio performance, identifying areas for improvement;
  • Execute trades and manage forecast cash balances and liquidity across funds;
  • Conduct research and analysis of investment opportunities;
  • Develop and implement quantitative models to enhance the investment process;
  • Support the entire investment team and business through contributions to research and collaboration.

Required Skills:

  • 1-3 years' experience in finance or a related field;
  • Exceptional talent and high academic achievement in a quantitative discipline;
  • Superior performance and decision making under pressure;
  • Strong quantitative skills and modelling capabilities, with a research-oriented mindset;
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
