DESCRIPTION

If you are eager to implement effective safety improvements, inform managers of compliance issues and safety improvement opportunities, apply to join our team in Amazon Operations as a Graduate Safety Specialist You will receive extensive safety training and development as an entry-level Safety Specialist, with the goal of becoming an exceptional safety leader.
Key job responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly safety metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate reporting systems.
- Support management efforts to ensure compliance with all corporate program expectations and applicable federal and state laws.
- Conduct risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions.
- Recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures to management, including ergonomics.
- Be available to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.

2) Bella Vista, NSW
3) Brisbane, QLD
4) Ravenhall, VIC
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduation date within the last 24 months or will be completing studies prior to the start date of the role.
- Completed a tertiary qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) or a related field.
- Candidates with degrees not in Safety disciplines but with relevant experience are also considered.
- Engineering degrees will be considered if the candidate has an interest and passion for Safety.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Interest in or previous experience in safety-related employment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, especially regarding health and safety needs at all organizational levels.
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, directions, and strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Prior internship experience in OH&S is desirable.
