Mid/Senior level Golang Engineer - $160k-$180k + super - Blockchain infra - high frequency trading

tekFinder have partnered with a protocol running on Ethereum, enabling a new derivatives exchange on blockchain infrastructure - specifically Ethereum. They are building the future of exchanges by growing a strong engineering team in Sydney. The high-frequency trading systems are being built in Go to target sub-second latency with settlement to Ethereum, with the goal of transacting billions of dollars every day.

tekFinder are helping the business secure a backend Golang engineer to work alongside 3 other developers and their CTO in Sydney. You will be designing, building and maintaining backend services that power their DeFi applications.

This is a great opportunity to work on blockchain tech alongside 3 very smart engineers and have a meaningful impact.

Stack: Golang, high-frequency trading systems, distributed systems, microservices, APIs, SQL/Redis DBs, AWS.

Bonus points: knowledge of matching engines and an understanding of the advantages of sub-nano second latency in high-frequency trading systems.

Location/Work Arrangement: They are in build mode, with the team in the Surry Hills office, typically 4-5 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build and maintain backend services powering DeFi applications.
  • Collaborate with a small engineering team and CTO to define system architecture and drive performance improvements.
  • Work on Go-based high-frequency trading systems aiming for sub-second latency and high throughput.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience in Go (Golang) development.
  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and AWS.
  • Proficiency with SQL/Redis databases.
  • Understanding of high-frequency trading concepts; bonus for experience with matching engines and low-latency architectures.
