We are a university rooted in the land and people of our regions. True to the character of regional Australia, we have gumption, soul, and a collaborative spirit. We develop holistic, far-sighted individuals who help their communities grow and flourish.

The Wiradjuri phrase yindyamarra winhanganha means the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in. This phrase embodies who we are at Charles Sturt University – our ethos. It originates from traditional Indigenous Australian knowledge and also reflects the mission of universities – to develop and spread wisdom to improve the world.

Harnessing technology, we thrive as a distributed yet connected community, welcoming and engaging with people across Australia and the world.

The Division of Safety, Security, and Wellbeing is dedicated to fostering a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and visitors. Working collaboratively with faculties and divisions, the division enhances the overall university experience by providing holistic support for students and staff.
