Physiotherapist - APM Graduate program (Start ASAP)

Support clients' return to work and life after injury as a Graduate Physiotherapist in APM's two-year program, with diverse clinical and professional development opportunities.

Your role

Responsibilities

  • Providing initial rehabilitation assessment and rehabilitation planning to assist clients with physical injuries and secondary psychosocial barriers to participate in Graduated Return to Work Programs
  • Providing case management for clients with return to same employment or transition to new employment
  • Providing services within job description and clinical scope of practice including, but not limited to: worksite assessments, functional capacity evaluations, home, office, and vehicle ergonomic assessments
  • Delivering injury prevention training relevant for customer need
  • Completing work task analyses and preparing job dictionaries
  • Coordinating a holistic treatment approach for the client's condition, regularly liaising with treating practitioners to monitor progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as needed
  • In conjunction with the treating medical team, assessing and making recommendations regarding clients' physical health and wellbeing, and medical conditions on ability to work
  • Writing detailed case notes and reports
  • Working with veterans to support their psychosocial, medical and vocational goals
  • Working across multiple state- and national-based insurance schemes, and with self-insured employers
  • Being trained to deliver the Virtual Reality Empowered Pain program for clients with persistent pain presentations

  • Relevant qualification in Physiotherapy (graduate level)
  • Desire to work in a multidisciplinary allied health team

  • Willingness to work with clients with physical and psychological injuries
  • Strong communication and case management skills
