Job Description

We currently have an opportunity to join our Canberra team, a close-knit group of professionals who care for each other and the community. You'll be supported with tailored training, tools and mentorship to help you thrive.

This role includes exposure to delivering IPAR's innovative pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery, which uses virtual reality and modern pain science to help clients understand pain and re-train their brain and body, in collaboration with the client's treating team.

Responsibilities
  • Case management with supportive Rehabilitation Assistants to handle administrative tasks
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return-to-work outcomes and collaborate with employers and employees on injury prevention and workplace education
  • Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
  • Complete assessments such as Functional Capacity Evaluations, Worksite, Ergonomic and Activities of Daily Living Assessments
  • Deliver the Re-thinking Recovery virtual reality pain education program
Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
  • Full AHPRA registration
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Compassion, empathy and client-centred approach
  • Current valid Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
